R.I Dist.3040 came into existence on Ist July 1984. It comprises of Panchmahal Dist of Gujrat as well as western and central part of Madhya Pradesh which can be said to be the heart of India.The entire area is called Malwa Plateau which is spread between Aravali hills and the Narmada Valley,surrounded by Vindhya achal and Satpura ranges.

R.I Dist 3040 touches states of Gujrat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

Geographically rich in natural resources with fertile land suitable for cotton production 25% of thearea is covered by deep forest with natural flora and fauna.The entire malva is full of glorious history with old traditions and tribal culture.People of all different religions speaking different languages live together and promote peace and harmony.

DISTRICT GOVERNOR - 2010-11 (R.I.District 3040)

District Governor 2010-11, Rtn Dr. Nalini Langer was born on 18th Aug at Jodhpur, Rajasthan in a reputed Kashmiri family. She completed her post graduation in chemistry and doctorate in physical chemistry from Gwalior' She was later selected by M.P Public Service Commission andserved as an Assistant Professor in the department of chemistry at Science College, Bhind.

An active and dedicated member of Rotary club of Ujjain since 1998, she was nominated president of the club for two years in succession in 2oo4-2oo5 and 2005-06. The club thrived under her leadership and two new clubs namely, the Rotary clubs of Khachrod and Mahidpur city were sponsored'.Many new activities such as rehabilitation of disabled and orphaned have been a regular feature at Rotary club of Ujjain since her tenure as president' In appreciation ofher services, she received the president citation award in 2oo4-2oo5 and 2oo5-2oo6 and the best president of the district in zoo5-zoo6.

Rtn Dr Nalini Langer is an excellent orator and also a Paul Harris society member. Besides being a devoted Rotarian, Dr. Nalini Langer is a member of Madhya Pradesh Human Rights commission and Ujjain Shikayat Prakoshtha Samiti. She is also an advisor at Polytechnic College, Ujjain and Nari Niketan, Ujjain. She also serves as an honorary magistrate at Juvenile court in the city'Her hobbies include reading, writing andyoga. Rtn Dr' Nalini Langer holds the distinctive honor of successfully completing the Kailash Mansarover expedition in 1995 along with her husband PDG Rtn Ravi Prakash Langer, who is a major donor and known for his polio corrective surgery work. PDG Ravi has also been awarded citation for meritorious service and regional service award for polio free world.

Dr. Nalini and PDG Ravi are blessed with two bright children, Ritika and Rochak. Daughter Ritika is married to Mr.Anupam Sharma and is working with Nomura bank in London.Rochak is pursuing a Sports Management course with FIFA, the world governing body of football and daughter-in-law Archana is a fashion design student in London.
